This Is The Way To Transform Yourself

TIMES OF ISLAM, TANJUNG ENIM - One of the treatments taught by the Prophet sallallaahu Alaihi wa Sallam to his people is ruqyah (incantation) by reading verses, prayers and certain dhikr. Ruqyah is not only for mental illness, but also physical illness.

This has been proven by many people, one of them as stated by ruqyah expert, Ustadz Eri Abdul Rohim on one occasion.

Regarding this way of self-meruqyah, Shaykh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah bin Baz said, if the Prophet sallallaahu Alaihi wa Sallam felt pain, he blew his hands three times by reading the letters Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq and An-Nas.

After each reading, he wiped his entire body when he was going to sleep, which began by wiping his head, face and chest, as told by Ayesha Radhiallahu Anha in authentic hadith.

The Angel Gabriel had also recited the Prophet sallallaahu Alaihi wa Sallam when he was sick by reciting the following prayer into the water,

"By mentioning the name of Allah I am meruqyahmu, from everything that hurts you, from all the evil of the soul and eyes (ain) of the envious person, hopefully Allah heals you, with the name of Allah I am meruqyahmu." (Narrated by Ibn Majah and Ahmad).

This prayer is read three times. This is the method of meruqyah which is prescribed and also useful.

The Prophet sallallaahu Alaihi wa Sallam recited the prayer into the water for Thabit bin Qais Radhiyallahu Anhu and ordered him to take a bath using the water.

This information is narrated by Abu Dawud in the book Ath-Thibb (treatment) with the sanad hasan.

Meanwhile, there is another history which explains the various ruqyah exemplified by the Prophet sallallaahu Alaihi wa Sallam.

Among them is the Prophet sallallaahu Alaihi wa Sallam once meruqyah some sick friends by reading,

"O Allah, God Who Preserves mankind, eliminate this disease and heal him, You are the Healer, there is no healing but only healing from You, healing that does not leave any disease at all." (Narrated by Al-Bukhari).

Thus quoted from the book Durus Al-Am by Shaykh Dr. Abdul Malik Al-Qasim.
